Ltd, you may be asked to provide information that may include, but is not limited to: Your full name and address, Your telephone contact and email contact, Your Identification Information and photograph, Your employment details and relevant financial information and service requested.

Jimmy Palmer & Associates Co. Ltd. may also collect browser information when you access our services through electronic means.  This usage data collected may include your Internet Protocol address, the time and date of your visit, unique device identifiers, device used to access our services and other diagnostic data.

Third party companies may be employed by Jimmy Palmer & Associates Co. Ltd to perform technical and/or service-related support to assist us in relation to how our service is accessed and provided. Any data given to these third-party service providers are only for the purposes of service support and they are not to use the data or disclose the data for any other purpose apart from that which Jimmy Palmer & Associates Co. Data Protection Principles

As per the Data Protection Act 2020, the processing of your personal data means:

  1. (a)consent is given, consent is informed, consent is specific, unequivocal, freely given, is an expression of will by which the data subject agrees to the processing of that data subject’s personal data  ; (b) includes any such expression of consent given by— (i) the legal personal representative of the data subject; (ii) any individual to whom the data subject delegates, in writing in such form and manner as may be prescribed, the right to give or withhold consent to the processing; (iii) in the case of a minor, (subject to section 5(a)(i)), a parent or legal guardian of the minor; or (iv) in the case of an individual who by reason of any mental impairment is unable to act, the person entitled to act for that individual under section 5(a)(ii)
  2. Your data is processed in a lawful, fair and transparent manner.
  3. Your data is collected for an explicit, specified and legitimate purpose. The data controller is authorized to further process for archiving purposes in the public interest, for historical, statistical or scientific research.
  4. Every reasonable step is to be taken to ensure that your data is accurate, up to date and where data collected for a specified purpose is found to be inaccurate, measures taken to erase or rectify without delay.  An individual reserves the right to revoke their consent for communications to be sent to stated individuals.
  5. Your personal data is to be kept in a form which identifies data subjects no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which the personal data is collected or stored.
  6. Your personal data shall be processed securely, protected against unauthorized access, unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage by the use of technical or organizational measures. The Data Controller is to put in place a data retention guideline stating timelines for data retention and content for retention, data access protocols and back up recovery solutions.
  7. Individuals have the right to access their personal data in writing and such requests shall be dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.
  8. For individuals located outside Jamaica, the data is transferred to Jamaica and is subject to the Data Protection Act that governs data protection in Jamaica. Please note jurisdictions outside Jamaica are subject to the relevant data protection legal framework of that jurisdiction but once the data is processed in Jamaica, it is subject to the Data Protection Act of Jamaica.
  9. We will take all necessary steps to secure your data in accordance with the privacy policy. Please note that transmission of data over the Internet represents some risk and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will however take reasonable and necessary steps to reduce risk of data breach where possible.
  10. We reserve the right to update our privacy policy periodically.
  11. Having read our privacy policy, continuation of the use of our services indicates consent, contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest.
